How long will prongs holding the diamonds last on a ring that is worn every day?
Approximately 5-6 years with constant wear. Most engagements rings have a removable crown (prongs) and once removed, a new crown is welded in and the customer’s diamond is set into the new crown.
Does sizing a ring change the thickness of the shank?
No – it should not change the thickness of the shank when sized correctly. We always weld a new piece of gold into a ring that is made larger. This new piece is then shaped to match the existing shank of the ring.
I have more than one diamond to reset. How do I choose a custom mounting for my diamonds to be set into the same mounting?
First, we discuss with you what you like and dislike in the style of a ring (or pendant), how many diamonds you have to remount, and other aspects of the styling of custom jewelry.

Secondly, we sketch about three to four different styles for you to look at on a return visit. We also quote the price of the custom piece at this time. You then choose a style from the drawings or we can modify one of them to meet your needs.

Thirdly, a wax model of the chosen style is carved. You’re welcome to come back and look at this model before the jewelry is cast.

Finally, after approval of the wax model, the piece of jewelry is cast, the diamonds are set and your custom piece is finished.
How long does it take for custom jewelry to be made?
From start to finish, approximately 3-4 weeks.
Where is your custom work done?
All custom work, as well as repairs are done on-site from start to finish. The jewelry never leaves our store.
How do I choose a diamond engagement ring?
Since we have chosen our diamonds individually and set them in the engagement rings ourselves, we can explain each diamond’s cut, clarity, color and carat weight to help you make the right decision.
